Laila - Shootout At Wadala (Hindi song)
Shootout at Wadala, released in 2013, is an Indian action-crime film written and directed by Sanjay Gupta. The film features a star-studded cast including John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, and Sonu Sood. It serves as a prequel to the 2007 movie, Shootout at Lokhandwala. The story follows Manya, a hardworking student who lands in jail for killing a gangster who attacked his brother, Bhargav, leading to his death. Manya later escapes from prison and forms his own gang to seek revenge. The film is based on the book Dongri to Dubai: Six Decades of the Mumbai Mafia by Hussain Zaidi and portrays the encounter by the Bombay police in which gangster Manya Surve was shot dead. This incident occurred on January 11, 1982, at the junction adjacent to Dr. Ambedkar College, Wadala, Bombay.
